The motocross track chosen for the first test was Castiglione delle Stiviere... for those of you who don't know it, I can assure you that it is the worst place to ride a rally motorcycle.

Potholes, hard and slippery terrain, stones ordeal made of little grip and risk of continuous high side.

After a few warm-up laps I rode the "empty can" and, to my utter dismay, realized that the bike simply wouldn't slide anymore.

Not only had traction increased exponentially, but I felt so confident that I could anticipate opening the throttle several meters into each corner.

I'm not going to tell you how much I lowered my lap time because you wouldn't believe it... what I can tell you is that now I can't do without my 'can' hanging from the swingarm.

What do I notice?

I notice less vibrations in the footpegs, I notice the shock absorber working in a more fluid and controlled way, I notice the rear wheel always well adhered to the ground even in the rapid succession of bumps typical of rallies... I feel safe!
